Learn How to Host "Women Bike Women Lead" Events
In 2014 Daniella Alcedo, founding Executive Director of the Pomona Valley Bicycle Coalition (a chapter of the Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition), and Maria Sipin Board Member of Multi-Cultural Communities for Mobility (and one of our Pedal Love creative team), received a $500 grant from the League of American Bicyclists to host a ground breaking pilot program called "Women Bike Women Lead."
The successfully hosted 2015 program was a series of two rides and a no-seat-left-unfilled full day summit completed earlier in Los Angeles this year.
Oct. 1st Daniella and Maria hosted a webinar for the League of American Bicyclists to share their brand new tool kit about the program. Click here to listen to the webinar and download the toolkit for yourself.

Remembering Deb Hubsmith
June 5, 1969 - August 18, 2015
This is a special Pedal Love podcast honoring the life and work of biking and walking advocate extraordinaire Deb Hubsmith. Deb is the founder and former Executive Director of the Safe Routes to School National Partnership.
Host Melissa Balmer revisits her November 2014 interview with Deb which so beautifully illustrates Deb's passion, her expertise and remarkable charisma as one of the top national advocates making the world safer and more convenient for those who want to bike and walk. This past July, after dealing with acute myeloid leukemia twice, Deb has decided to stop treatment and has entered home hospice care this August. Image by Andy Peri, Deb's husband. Because of Deb's vision, talent, collaboration and team building skills children all across the country are finding it safer and easier to both bike and walk to school.
