Experts share economic opportunities women and casual urban bicyclists bring bike-friendly cities and why bikes and beers always work
San Diego CA – San Diego’s role as a progressive bike-friendly city will be center stage at the National Bicycle Tourism Conference at the Bahia Conference Center in San Diego November 5-8, 2014. Hosted by the Bicycle Tour Network, the League of American Bicyclists and presenting sponsor People for Bikes, the conference focuses on real world growth models for successfully connecting the worlds of tourism and bicycling for the exciting new world of bicycle tourism. To show off the progress San Diego has made towards creating a safer and more appealing place for bicycling tourists and residents alike a short and easy FAM tour by bike for the media will be hosted by the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition on Wednesday morning prior to the conference. Two key focal points of the conference are the growth of women and the casual urban bicyclist as market opportunities for bike and adventure tour operators, urban travel companies, state tourism boards, and City visitor bureaus from across the country.
