Long Beach CA - In celebration of May as National Bike Month PedalLove.org is launching a search for the two best "Why I Need a New Bike" stories from women in Southern California for the chance to win an Electra "Cherry" cruiser or an Electra "Amsterdam" city bike.  The contest is in collaboration with the beautiful "Made Long Beach" local handcrafted gift gallery at 236 Pine Ave, where the bikes are currently on display.

Entering the contest is free of charge and applications will be judged on their creativity, personally engaging style, and how much you really need a new bike for transportation, errands or exercise. Your "Why I Need a New Bike" story can be submitted as a written blog with images, a short video, a series of Tweets via Storify or other creative ways. Submissions will be accepted through midnight on Friday May 22, 2015. The application and all details can be found at pedallove.org/bike-month-bike-contest-2015/. Any questions about the contest in advance should be sent to Melissa@pedallove.org. Share the contest through the social media hashtag #WhyINeedaNewBike.

The contest winners will be announced on Friday May 29th through the Pedallove.org website, social media. The winners will be featured on the Pedallove.org website.
