Storytelling for Social Media - Thursday Oct 3rd 2019

Thursday, October 3rd 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm PST - Live Webinar Class

18-minute presentation, 12+ minutes for your live questions

Are you ready to fall in love with your social media strategy?

Likes are a start, but they’re not going to move the dial much on fundraising, ROI, media placement, or growing an actively engaged audience.

Have you heard that “storytelling” is key, but are unsure of just what this means?

Are you frustrated and confused about why certain thought leaders, organizations and brands seem to flourish in their social media outreach and your own feels stalled?

In this class I’m going to focus on three key methods thought leaders and culture shifting organizations and brands are using to catalyze their engagement. Storytelling at the center of it all, and not just storytelling, but passionate, fall in love with storytelling for you, your team and your fans and fresh audiences.

Here’s a preview of what I’ll be covering:

1)   How to Move from Promotion to Personal Engagement

2)   How to Easily Create More Visual Allure

3)   The Right Way to Multi-Purpose Your Content

And this is key: At the end of my teaching I’ll open up the mic for your own live questions. You can even email me questions in advance once you sign up for the course.

Also, even if you can’t make the class I’ll be sharing my video recording of the webinar with all who register afterwards.

Here’s what others are saying about my storytelling classes and presentations:

"I've been really enjoying Melissa's live webinars, but more importantly I'm seeing the ROI. Our recent fundraiser was a financial success (we doubled our goal!) in part because our we're becoming better storytellers and our message was clear and compelling. The afternoon I was to draft our speakers' remarks, I listened in on one of Melissa's storytelling webinars. I know that made the difference. It was our most successful fundraising event in recent memory."

Hi Melissa, (from June 2019)

I just wanted to share my happiness with you, and thank you for your guidance the past couple of weeks.

Last week was my talk at IgniteOKC, where the tagline is "Enlighten us, but make it quick." The format has 20 slides that automatically advance every 15 seconds, for a total of 5 minutes to inform, excite, and impact the audience.

Naturally, my talk was about how bikes build pride and love for my community. Also naturally, I was way more nervous than I am for contracting and engineering meetings at work. With some rehearsal, I tailored both the theme and a mini-story to somewhat follow the hero's journey: presenting challenges and how bikes helped overcome them.

At the end, I was euphoric. The audience had great reactions throughout (ooo's, laughs, etc.), and I stepped off the stage feeling like I absolutely nailed it! The night was recorded, as was a follow-on radio interview that also went really well). I'll share them with you once they are on line.

Thank you again, Melissa!
